always running out of time

Well, it has been a few weeks and I still have not had time to provide more insight into the V1 sprint technique. I keep meaning to do it, but with the busy June racing schedule, I was just too swamped.
We had our Provincial Team Trials, Canada Game Trials, Elementary Dragonboat Challenge, MCC Home Regatta, Mississauga Dragonboat Festival, Toronto Island Dragonboat festival.....ALL WITHIN 4 weeks of each other

Now coaching has started at the TSCC outrigger group and what a great first practice we had. TSCC has a great location for those that work / live in the downtown care. It is just too bad that they don't do a better job servicing their paddle sport community.

It was amazing to paddle and see the city skyline, even if it was flat, flat water

The group worked hard and enjoyed the session

More to write soon

V1 champ

A copy of the V1 champion showing his explosive leg drive. This video leads to some interesting discussions concerning what people perceive as technique (versus style). He may have an unorthodox "style" but his technique is sound (especially for rudderless canoe)

Hope to add more about the technique shortly but have been meaning to upload this video copy.
